Terms of Use
The rules for using this site, what the information on it does and does not promise, and how we are allowed to name the brands we repair.

About this site
This site is published by Spectra Appliance Repair, an independent appliance service company working across Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. By using it you accept the terms on this page. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
Independence, and why we may name these brands
Spectra Appliance Repair is an independent service company. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Sub-Zero, Wolf, Cove, Thermador, Miele, Viking, GE Monogram, Gaggenau, Liebherr, Dacor, Bertazzoni, Fisher & Paykel, ASKO, U-Line, Bosch, or any other manufacturer.
Every brand name, model name, series name and logo mentioned on this site is the property of its respective owner. We use those names for one purpose only: to describe accurately which appliances we service. There is no other honest way to tell you that we repair a Sub-Zero refrigeration column than to write the words “Sub-Zero refrigeration column”.
We do not use any manufacturer’s logo, typeface or brand colors. We do not describe ourselves as an authorized dealer, an authorized service center, a certified partner, an official provider, or a factory service agent for any manufacturer, because we are none of those things. Nothing on this site should be read as suggesting that a manufacturer sponsors, approves or is connected with us.
Where our technicians hold a certification, it is their own and it is named as such — EPA Section 608 certification for sealed-system refrigerant work is a federal requirement placed on the technician, not an endorsement by any appliance manufacturer.
Your manufacturer warranty comes first
If your appliance is still inside its factory warranty, call the manufacturer before you call us. Using an independent company can void coverage you have already paid for. We would rather tell you that and lose the job than take it and cost you the warranty. The same applies to the extended coverage that comes with certain products — a Cove dishwasher, for example, carries a five-year manufacturer warranty, and while it is in force it is the manufacturer’s to honor, not ours.
What the information here is, and is not
The symptom tables, brand pages and answers on this site are written from field experience. They are there to help you describe a fault and to set expectations before anyone drives out. They are general information, not a diagnosis of your appliance. A fault can have more than one cause, and the same symptom on two units of the same model can end differently.
Nothing on this site is an offer, a quotation, or a binding price. Availability, timing, parts lead times and cost are confirmed with you directly before work begins — not on the doorstep, and not on this page.
Requests and scheduling
Sending the request form starts a conversation; it does not book a visit and it does not form a contract. We call you back to confirm what is wrong, what it is likely to take, what the diagnostic fee is, and when we can come. A visit exists once we have both agreed it, not before.
Please give us accurate information. If the appliance, the building or the access arrangements turn out to be materially different from what was described, we may not be able to carry out the visit as planned.
Safety
If you can smell gas, leave the appliance alone and call your gas utility or 911 first. Do not use this form, and do not wait for a callback. The same goes for water actively flooding a floor or a burning smell from an electrical appliance: make it safe first, and call us afterwards.
Do not attempt sealed-system refrigerant work yourself. In the United States it is restricted by federal law to certified technicians, and the restriction exists for good reasons.
The content on this site
The text, photographs, layout and code of this site belong to Spectra Appliance Repair, except for the third-party names described above and the typefaces, which are licensed. You may read the site, print a page for your own use, and link to it. You may not copy the text onto another site, present it as your own, or use it to train a system that reproduces it.
Links to other sites
Where we point you to a manufacturer or an authority — to check a factory warranty, for instance — that link is for your convenience. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for what they say or do.
The site itself comes as it is
We keep this site accurate and available, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or current at every moment. To the fullest extent the law allows, the site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from using it — for example, a decision made solely on the strength of a symptom table without having the appliance looked at.
None of this limits our responsibility for the repair work we actually carry out. Work we perform is covered by the workmanship warranty we give you in writing for that job, and nothing on this page reduces any right you have under Florida or federal consumer law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, and any dispute arising from this site belongs to the courts of Miami-Dade County, Florida.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and the version on this page is the one that applies.
